A team of ten girls from the Shilin Advanced Commerce High School of Taipei, Taiwan will be visiting Southern California in late August. The girls are this year's All Taiwan High School Kendo Champions.
Members of the Taiwanese Team are: Chi, Yua-Hua (1 kyu); Ko, Li-Mei (1 kyu); Yu, Ya-Ling (2 dan); Hsu, Ya-Ching (2 dan); Liu, Yi-Ting (1 dan); Yang, Pei-Fang (1 dan); Lan, Mei-Chun (1 dan); Wang, San-Wei (1 dan); Lin, Shu-Chin (1 dan); and Tseng, Chiu-Hui (1 kyu).
The team is accompanied by their coaches Lu, Chih-Shien and Huang, Chun-Jen. Also accompanying the team is Ke, Li-Mei. Their trip to the U.S. is sponsored by the Taiwan Government, Shilin Advanced Commerce High School and the team member's families.
The SCKF is organizing the keiko and goodwill schedule for their visit, with Huang Sensei from Norwalk being the lead contact.
