Centaurus and the Southern Cross

Astrophotos | Home Page

Centaurus and the Southern Cross (Crux) are at the bottom of the world as seen from Hawaii. Hints of the richest areas of the southern sky Milky Way are visible, but not very well due to the low elevation. The middle of the Southern Cross is at about -60 degrees declination, putting it about 10 degrees above the Hawaiian horizon.
