2nd Contact

Baily's beads, points of light showing through valleys on the moon's limb, can be seen as 2nd contact approaches.

These photos were taken through a Borg 100ED with Thousand Oaks broadband solar filter and 2x teleconverter for an effective focal length of 1280mm with a Nikon D700 DSLR set at ISO 800, 1/4000 sec.
