They included an outdoors version of the home one, and the 25 and 50 KW versions for commercial locations. Regenerative braking didn't feel any different compared to friction braking both of which are always used (friction when regen braking isn't enough). The engine deceleration mode (activated by a button on the transmission shift lever) felt like the engine braking of a gasoline engine. And yes, we are sticking to silver/blue (more silver than blue). As for Jean's impressions, I'll have her add any she might have had, but I do remember her saying something about having to get used to a slight swaying, which I didn't notice. Dave ---------------Original Message--------------- Dave: Most interesting. Some thoughts/questions ......... The $1500 "prepayment discount" sounds favorable, i.e., greater than the money could earn in the bank. The range of chargers is new to me. 50 kw might blow out the neighborhood, but it would be nice to know where all chargers, especially these, are. People at the EV club also commented on the built-in creep function. I agree with you. I don't need that feeling and I'd like to save every watt minute. How did the regen feel? Does it have any options. Did you stick with blue? Did Jean have any other impressions? And, Congratulations! I'm sure you'll be the first on your block and the first at RI; where, by the way, we should take advantage of our increased numbers and lobby for a charging spot. ----------End of Original Message---------- --------------------------------- E-mail: kodama@alumni.caltech.edu kodama@EAnet.com ---------------------------------
