Moon-Venus-Jupiter
24 Mar. 2012

Venus-Jupiter Telescopic view

The setting moon precedes Jupiter and Venus, which appears unnaturally large because of thin clouds in the way. Venus appears just about as high in the sky as it ever gets from this location. Photo taken from Vanishing Point Observatory with a Nikon D700, 35-70mm zoom @ 62mm, ISO 6400, 1 sec. @ f/4.2.

Unfortunately on this evening, clouds moved in after the moon set, making for a disappointing outing.
