On this evening, I was trying out the new Sherizhe electronic atmospheric dispersion corrector (eADC). This device corrects for the dispersion of colors when viewing objects at low altitude, which appears as blue and red fringing on opposite sides (top and bottom, relative to the horizon) of the object. In manual ADC's, one must manually adjust for tilt and amount of correction applied depending on the elevation angle and ADC's rotation angle which changes throughout the evening. With the eADC, a microcomputer measures these angles and continuously corrects for the atmospheric dispersion no matter where the telescope is pointing. This conveniently reduces operation to a single calibration adjustment at the beginning of the night.

This sequence happens to catch Ganymede as it transits across Jupiter. Frames at the end were taken after sunrise when Jupiter was no longer visible to the eye.
