Funeral services for Yamaguchi sensei will be held at Rose Hills on October 15, 2012 from 11am to 12pm, followed by a graveside service. Please see the funeral services page from the Rose Hills site for details, including directions to the chapel and the gravesite and information on floral orders and deliveries.

Additional notes:

• officiant will be Reverend Sakamoto from Orange County Buddhist Church
• oshoko (incense offering) will be held at the graveside service

A reception will be held at Norwalk Dojo following the services

• it will be in the judo room, not the gym; please follow the signs

Schedule (all times approximate):

• 1pm: hall opens; light lunch and finger foods available
• 2pm: start reception (there will be a short program)
• 3pm: end reception

• Norwalk Dojo put up a memorial for Yamaguchi sensei in the room where he collapsed. If you would like to bring flowers, put up pictures, or write your thoughts and prayers for Yamaguchi sensei and his family, the room will be open:
  • Monday 10/8 from 7pm-8:30pm
  • Friday 10/12 from 7:30-9pm
  • Monday 10/15 during the reception at Norwalk Dojo
