  • Individual Divisions:
    0 - 6 kyu (13 and under)
    5 - 4 kyu
    3 - 1 kyu
    Adult kyu (18 and older)
    Women's kyu (14 and older)
    Women's dan
    1 - 2 dan
    3 - 4 dan
    5 dan and above
    Seniors 1 (50 to 59)
    Seniors 2 (60 and older)
  • Team Competition (one team per federation)
    Senpo: 0 - 6 kyu (13 and under)
    Jiho: 5 - 4 kyu
    5 sho: 3 - 1 kyu or adult kyu
    Chuken: Women (kyu or dan) or 1-2 dan (only if no women)
    3 sho: 1 - 2 dan
    Fukusho: 4 dan or below
    Taisho: 5 dan or above
  • Tournament Regulations:
    Kyu: 3 minutes, 2 minute extension, Hantei (except semifinal & final)
    Dan: 4 minutes, 2 minute extension, Hantei (except semifinal & final)
    Team: 3 minutes, no extension
  • Tournament Fees:
    17 and under (kyu and dan) $10.00
    18 and older (kyu and dan) $15.00
    Bento $7.00
The following perpetual trophy categories are defined:
  • junior kyu (youth 4 kyu and below)
    - 1st and 2nd place from 0-6 kyu division will compete in the 5-4 kyu division
    - the winner of the 5-4 kyu division will receive the perpetual trophy
  • senior kyu (youth 3-1 kyu and adult kyu)
    - the following will compete in a special final tournament
       - 1st and 2nd place from 3-1 kyu division
       - 1st and 2nd place from adult kyu division
    - the winner will receive the perpetual trophy
  • women's
    - 1st and 2nd place from women's kyu division will compete in the women's yudansha division
    - the winner of the women's yudansha division will receive the perpetual trophy
  • yudansha
    - the following will compete in a special final tournament
       - 1st and 2nd place from 1-2 dan division
       - 1st and 2nd place from 3-4 dan division
       - 1st and 2nd place from 5+ dan division
    - the winner will receive the perpetual trophy
