  • note from Yuge sensei
Please inform your participants and parents that the Almansor Gym is NOT air conditioned. It does get warm inside so it might be a good idea for the kenshi to hydrate themselves with water or Gatorade before they start their competition. It is better to drink before the shiai as they will have more fluids in them to perspire. (That's my opinion)

Also, parents may want to bring "sensu" or "uchiwa" or other fanning device to keep cool.

SHIMPAN: Bring coat for opening ceremony, but as the day goes on, we will advise them to remove their coats. Short sleeve ("han-sleeve") will be OKAY for shimpan to wear.

During lunch, there are limited eating tables, but lots of grass area, so please feel free to bring lunch blankets!

Thank you and see you Sunday!
