Email announcement sent 4/13/2022:
I have attached the SCKF Individuals forms in this email.
Couple of things I will need to point out is that the location for this event
is TBD. Once we figure out the location, I will email everyone ASAP.
Hard deadline will be on Saturday, May 28th.
I will also try to figure a way to have the dojos do the Championships seeding.
But there might be a chance that I may end up seeding it myself randomly.
There is a major change in the divisions. We will be getting rid of the
Women's Division and changing it to a Women's Championship. In order to be
able to qualify to compete in the Women's Championships, you must be a
registered member of SCKF from the end of March, 2022 registration deadline.
With the new addition to Women's Championships, the original Championships
will be now be Men's Championships. Women's Championships will be open to any
rank from 15 years of age and older. Rules will be the same as the Men's
Championships with the time limit being 5 minutes with unlimited encho.
Shinai check/weigh-in will also be in effect. From 2022 going forward, you
only can compete in ONE DIVISION. For example, you can not enter Seniors
Division and either Championships or if you are a girl in 14 to 15 Year
Division and enter Women's Championships.
Please encourage the girls and ladies in your dojo to enter the Women's
Championships and be the first to engrave your name in the new perpetual
trophy!
From 2023 and on, both Men's and Women's Championships will be for registered
SCKF members 1 year prior to the SCKF Championships.
Thank you,
Yuji Hosokawa
