• tentative schedule:
  • 8:30 sign in/turn in bento payment, closes 8:45am
  • 9:00 line up and introduction
  • 9:10 start seminar (1 break)
  • 12:00 lunch
  • 1:00 restart seminar (1 break)
  • 3:20 line up and closing

• attendance is restricted to 2 dan and above who already know and can perform the basics of all 10 kata

• all dojo head instructors and assistant instructors are encouraged to attend especially if any of your kenshi has ever failed kata at shinsa

• bring the following:
  • bokuto set (tachi and kodachi)
  • keikogi and hakama
  • tare and nafuda
  • bento payment (if paying by check, make payable to Southern California Kendo Federation, one check per dojo)

• note: starting in April 2024, applicants for 3dan and above shinsa (including kodansha/shogo ranks) must have attended one kata seminar and one shinpan seminar within the previous 2 years
