  We will hold our SCKF Junior Keiko for February on February 17th (Saturday) from 1-4pm at Torrance Dojo!! The address is:
  3330 Civic Center Dr, Torrance, CA 90503

  This will be the day before Mori-Hai tournament, so will we include some shiai-practice for our kenshi!

  Summer is over and we are now ready to get back into kendo events for the fall!

  I am excited to announce that we will hold our September SCKF Junior Keiko on
  Saturday, September 30th - 1:00pm to 5:00pm
  Silverado Park
  1545 W 31st St.
  Long Beach, CA

  Further, I am excited to announce that we will have a special guest sensei: Takahiro Nabeyama Sensei (8-dan) from Tsukuba University leading the session!

  As you may know, Nabeyama-sensei has led Tsukuba University's team to multiple All-Japan College victories in recent years, and has coached many All-Japan Champions including most recently Takenouchi, Nishimura, Hoshiko and Matsuzaki senseis!

  Dear SCKF Junior Parents!!

  Thank you very much for all of your strong support and participation in the June 2022 SCKF Junior Keiko! It was a great success, thanks to your dedication and commitment to our SCKF Team!

  The July SCKF Junior Keiko will be quite special - we will actually invite our Juniors to join the afternoon session of the Team USA Training Camp!! Please dont worry, our SCKF Junior Kids will generally practice among themselves and the training menu will be adjusted accordingly, but it will be a wonderful opportunity for our SCKF Juniors to observe and train with Team USA!

  Per our discussion last month, we would like to try extending our keiko time to three hours - from 2:00-5:00pm on Saturday, July 8th. The practice will be held at the following location: Saturday, July 8th - 2:00pm to 5:00pm Silverado Park 1545 W 31st St. Long Beach, CA

  I would also like to respectfully request that you consider providing a voluntary/optional $10 donation for each kenshi participating in the practice. We would like to collect these funds in order to organize future events for our SCKF Junior kenshi, as well as to create men-towels and branded gear to bring the Team together in preparation for the 2024 US Junior Open Championships!!
